An independent check
- Find the original website yourself; do not rely only on the link a contact sends you.
- Call or write to the contact channel published by the organization and ask about the specific offer.
- Ask for a contract and a cost breakdown. Check who receives the payment, what it is for, and how it is documented.
- Do not share passwords, verification codes, or access to your bank accounts. Share only the documents that are necessary, through verified channels.
If you already shared information or paid
Save messages, receipts, domain names, and dates. Contact your bank or payment provider right away when appropriate. Change any exposed credentials and report the account to the platform.
